44 Blueberry Hill, In The Backyard All Morning

With Mina taking care of the store today, Phoebe was in the backyard of the house with the twins. She had put up barriers to make sure that they couldn't wander off into the woods. There were blankets spread out on the grass and the baby swings were out here, too.

Currently, though, Phoebe was on the grass with both twins in her arms and she was telling them fairy tales from the old book that was open in front of them.

"Did you know that your Mommy's favorite fairy tale is Cinderella?" Thea giggled and Peri patted her nose. "Yes, and I even got my Prince Charmings, too."

Drake knelt on the grass so he could wriggle his fingers at the twins. "Because 'charming' was never something I expected from Cole. Really, his manners were atrocious back in the day."

She smiled at him and shook her head. "Never with me. Except for the time where he was insane from being tortured after the second vanquishing and killed me, Cole has always been very charming."

"And I bet he's a total goof over these little ones," Drake said, tweaking Thea's nose.

Phoebe nodded with a grin. "Oh he really is. He's such a good Daddy."

"I bet he even would've sat on the eggs," Drake said. "Well, if there were eggs. You got lucky there."

Phoebe's eyes widened. "Eggs?" She squeaked.

Peri thought the noise was funny and giggled at her Mommy, clapping her hands.

"Hey, don't get all birthist on me," Drake said teasingly. "Being hatched from an egg is a fine and noble way to come into the world. I mean, look at me."

Phoebe laughed and shook her head. "You are just fine. I just can't picture Cole sitting... eggs..."

"How about yourself?" Drake said. "Or would you make the boys do all the work?"

Phoebe giggled again. "They could sit on them," she said with a gleam of mischief in her eye. "Someone needs to be able to work the cameras."

"I'm surprised they didn't sit on you," Drake said. "Or keep you confined to bed at least. I know how possessive Cole is. Grr, mine, hands off!"

She smiled softly at that. "Drake, you should have seen both him and Anders when they found out I was pregnant. They were being so careful with me and being so gallant and gentle... they scared the hell out of me because I hadn't told them about the pregnancy yet." She looked down at Thea who was tugging gently on a strand of her hair. "Then, during the pregnancy, wow did they ever get overprotective and I'm sure Cole really would have liked to keep me in bed and not have me getting up and doing anything during the entire pregnancy."

Drake snickered. "I pity any boy who shows up on your doorstep looking to take one of these lovelies out on a date."
