Saturday Afternoon, 44 Blueberry Hill

Phoebe was sitting on the bed of the larger of the three extra bedrooms in the house.

She also had a notebook with her that she was jotting notes down on.

She knew the boys were all excited about turning one of the bedrooms into a nursery and she had decided she wanted this one to be the nursery. It was a large room -- and it was right next to their bedroom. It also helped that the room was large enough to fit any amount of baby stuff in -- she knew her husband and boyfriend very well -- and so could the current bed. After all, there would probably be some nights that the baby wouldn't sleep and she'd to be with her without waking up the guys.

She had to admit that she was feeling a lot better about things now that the guys knew about the baby. It didn't stop her from worrying, but it had made her a little more relaxed.

Of course, the notebook might call into question her relaxation since she had started making notes on things that needed to happen weekly and monthly before the baby arrived.

"I know you guys want everything to be perfect... but right now? I kind of need to..." She bit her lip. "I need to be held and stuff, you know?"

She wasn't sure they did know since she didn't understand why she was feeling so needy and clingy right now.

"Just feels like everything is ging on around me... without me."

Sam ran his fingers down Phoebe's spine. "Didn't mean to make you feel that way," he said softly. "Have we really been planning stuff out without you?"

"I . . . never showed you the furniture for your approval, did I?" Cole said, wincing.

Phoebe nodded. "You guys are talking about furniture arriving and sports stuff and what you're going to do for the nursery... and I have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about or what is happening." She bit her lip. "It's kind of like I told you we were having a baby and then my part in all of this was pushed to the side. I'm carrying the baby and therefore that's all I'm involved in right now." She shrugged. "I know you guys aren't trying to leave me out... but you kind of are."

"Aw, babe," Sam said, a guilty look crossing his face as he glanced up at Cole. "I swear that's never what we meant to do. We just got all caught up in the excitement and . . ."

"No, no, sweetheart," Cole said, looking guilty as well. "I'm sorry, we never meant to do that."

"I said I knew you guys weren't trying to."

"Didn't think about the fact that you might feel that way," Sam said. "I'm sorry. Look, why don't we talk about it now? We can snuggle right here and talk about everything, maybe?"

"Want to see what I thought we should get for the nursery?" Cole said. "If you like it and think it's okay?"

Phoebe nodded. "I'd really like that."

Sam sat up, rested his chin on Phoebe's shoulder, and nuzzled her cheek. "And you can tell me whether or not you think I should be allowed to teach our daughter Pyramid. I promise there'll be plenty of safety equipment."

Cole got up to fetch his laptop, then returned with it opened to the page of the furniture collection he had his eye on. "Fit for a princess," he said, settling beside Phoebe again.

Phoebe smiled and curled up between the guys.

"I don't have a problem as long as you make sure it's safe and..." Her eyes widened at what Cole was showing them. "Oh, Cole... those are gorgeous."

"Aren't they great?" asked Sam, grinning. "And you know I'm not taking any chances with our little girl. Nothing but the safest training for her, I promise. And I won't even make her keep it up if she doesn't like it."

"Sam wants carpeting with red and gold accents," Cole said. "What kind of wallpaper do you think would look good?" He flipped between tabs in his browser. "I like the flowers..."

Sam slid his arms around her from behind. "If you think so, I'll go with it. I don't know how to decorate for a girl."

"Flowers it is, then," Cole said, making a note. "So that leaves carpeting and curtains." He placed a gentle kiss on Phoebe's temple. "Wait, how old does she have to be before we need to worry about a playpen?"

"Anders wants the carpetting to be red and gold accents, so we can do that. We'll get the curtains in a lighter red or gold shade to compliment both the curtains and the flowers." She smiled. "Not until she's crawling."

"I guess I don't have to build that Pyramid court right away then." There was a tiny hint of regret in Sam's voice at that.

"Build it for yourself, dork," Cole said.

"Build it anyway... and you can show us how it's played..."

Not that she thought they would let her play it anytime within the next eight months.

"Ah, my sporting days are behind me, now," Sam said, his voice gone oddly husky and a whisper of regret traveling across the bond. "No sense doing something like that just for myself."

Cole shifted his position so he could reach a leg over Phoebe and kick Sam. "You're denying her the chance to see you shirtless and sweaty," he chided. Not to mention denying him the chance as well.

Phoebe made a sad face at Anders and let her lower lip tremble following Cole's statement.
