44 Blueberry Hill, Mother's Day Dinner

It was Mother's Day, and being that Phoebe and Piper were new moms and that Patty was alive and in the village, Phoebe had decided that there needed to be a Halliwell family dinner today.

She had spent a great deal of the morning and early afternoon in the kitchen with her sister and they had been cooking most of that time. Phoebe was determined to make this a nice meal and a nice night, despite the pall of sadness that a lot of them were feeling.

Between trips from kitchen to the table, she made a couple of phone calls and had the guys get the twins set up in their high chairs so they could be at the family dinner, too.

Finally, the last dish was set down on the table and dinner was ready.

Paige showed up, happy to celebrate the holiday with her relatives.

She even managed to drag Jake along.

Jacob didn't have his mother to celebrate with, or for, and hadn't for long enough that coming to celebrate it for someone else wasn't something that got to him.

Plus, food.

If he was a little bit nervous being in a house full of Paige's relatives, it wasn't showing.

"Which is why I was kind of surprised you all had space for me in this," Jake said.

"Not complaining at all that you do," he added for clarification, just in case. "Cause, wow." It bared repeating.

Savannah was obviously here, and she was blown away by how much food her mom and Phoebe had made.

She was surprised the table wasn't buckling.

Cole had made sure the girls were secure and content. They had matching bows in their hair and presents for their mother sitting in front of them.

Sam was doing his part to help fuss over the girls and make sure they were on their best behavior. And looking their best.

Which was to say Sam was being a massive, massive dork.

Phoebe was sitting in one of the chairs and smiling at both of the twins and their fathers.

Cole made Thea wave one arm at Phoebe. "Happy Mother's Day!" he said for her.

Phoebe giggled. "Thank you, Thea." She smiled at Cole. "Thank you, too, Daddy."

Wyatt was maybe a tiny bit jealous of his cousins and adopted brother getting all the attention now. But he was an adult and they were adorable, so it didn't last long.

"I met your fiancee the other day," Paige remarked.

Even though Piper wanted to be with Matthew right now, she knew getting away from the clinic for a few hours was probably good for her. Or at least for her sanity.

So spending time with family and helping in the kitchen seemed like the best possible distraction.

"How's Matthew doing?" Paige asked.

"He's doing better. Getting stronger," Piper replied, sounding hopeful. "I might be able to bring him home next week."

Phoebe came up behind her big sister and hugged her quietly.

Which was why, as soon as she got there, she was bustling around and trying to help.
