Phoebe was tired of being cooped up and feeling a little restless. She couldn't seem to get comfortable and her emotions and hormones were slightly frayed.

Ok, more than slightly.

After some wheedling, begging and threatening, the boys had helped Phoebe get settled on the front porch swing.

She was, of course, wearing a jacket and there was a blanket nearby in case she got chilled. There was also a pitcher of Lavender Jasmine tea on the table next to her as well as her laptop and a selection of trashy novels.

Phoebe felt someone arrive near her and she lifted her head from the impromptu nap she had taken.

She stared for a moment.

"Connor?"

Connor froze, turned, and stared as well. He'd been gone a long time. It took a moment for him to remember her name. "Pheobe?"

She nodded slowly.

He shook his head. "No, I don't believe you. This is a trick. It's all a trick." But he really wanted to believe it.

She stood up carefully and walked towards him. "Connor? It's me. It's Phoebe."

She could sense his distress and it pained her.

But surely, if someone were going to fake all this, it would have been someone like Cordelia, or Bella, or one of his foster parents they'd use against him right?

Why would they use Pheobe to trick him? Or make her pregnant?

He didn't back away, but he didn't approach either.

"How could I be back here?"

"Connor? You don't know how you got here?"

"Last I remember I was in hell." he said, studying her carefully for any sign of deception. "Then I woke up in...what looked like the clinic."

She stopped. "Connor... you're safe here. It's Milieux."

"But...how?" he asked. He wasn't quite sure he believed it still, but he was willing to go with it for now. "We tried to find a way back. We couldn't."

Phoebe moved a little closer. "You remember me, right? I'm your friend."

"Yeah I remember you. I, don't remember if you were pregnant last time I saw you."

"I had just found out I was. I hadn't had a chance to tell you before you disappeared."

"Uhm, congratulations." He wasn't sure what else to say. He had a lot of things he wanted to ask. "How, how long have I been gone?"

"Thank you." She was sad to see him like this. "Come sit with me and talk?"

He hesitated before he agreed. "Okay." He shivered a bit, it was rather cooler here than hell.

Phoebe took his hand and led him to the porch. She urged him to sit down and wrapped the blanket around his shoulders and handed him some tea.

"Talk to me Connr," she urged softly. "Do you remember what I told you a long time ago? You'll always be my student and my friend, and I'm always here for you."

Connor took the tea, and managed a small smile. "Haven't had this in a while." After sipping the tea, which gave him a moment to collect his thoughts, he said; "Ever hear of Wolfram and Hart?"

Oh yeah, she'd heard of them and she wasn't fond of them.

"Yeah, unfortunately, I have."

Connor took a deep breath. "Well my dad, Angel, found a way to take out their heavy hitters, in one night. I didn't know that was what he was doing at the time, but he came to see me at the tea shop. We talked and then I got Tonks to take me to LA to help him. I knew there must have been something going down."

He took another sip of the tea. "He succeeded. And in retaliation Wolfram and Hart sent the entire county of LA to hell. Me included." Then something occured to him. "Have you seen Tonks?"

She shook her head. "I'm afraid not."

Connor frowned with concern. "I looked for her in hell, but I couldn't find her. I hoped maybe she'd gotten out in time."

"Maybe she did?"

"I hope so." he said again. "How long have I been gone? Time, didn't really exist there."
